Substances:

  • 2 kilos boneless, skinless hen thighs or hen breasts
  • Kosher salt and freshly floor black pepper, to style
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon floor cumin
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 cup restaurant-style salsa
  • 1/2 cup Mexican beer, reminiscent of Modelo*

For serving

  • Tortillas (flour or corn)
  • Pico de gallo
  • Sliced avocado
  • Sliced jalapeños

Instructions:

  1. Set a 6-qt Immediate Pot® to the excessive saute setting.
  2. Season hen with 1 1/4 teaspoon salt and three/4 teaspoon pepper. Warmth canola oil; working in batches, add hen and prepare dinner till golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per aspect; put aside.
  3. Add onion, and prepare dinner, stirring often, till translucent, about 2-3 minutes. Stir in garlic, chipotle chili powder, cumin and oregano till aromatic, about 1 minute.
  4. Stir in salsa and beer, scraping any browned bits from the underside of the pot.
  5. Return hen to the pot and gently toss to mix.
  6. Choose handbook setting; alter stress to excessive, and set time for 8 minutes for hen thighs or 13 minutes for hen breasts. When completed cooking, quick-release stress in keeping with producer’s instructions.
  7. Take away hen from the Immediate Pot® and shred utilizing two forks; season with salt and pepper, to style, if wanted.
